A game played with 312 cards
between two parties.
Players do not play against the House but against
each other. One
party holds the bank and is therefore known as the
banker. He also
deals the cards. The other party are his opponents, called
the
players, and there is no limit to their number. The object of Baccarat is to
hold 2 or 3 cards, which count 9, or as nearly 9 as possible.
Both parties play for the unlimited
stake of the bankholder,
called BANKO. There is only a minimum stake for
each table that is

= a point of 5, and two 8s and a 7 adds up to 23 = a point
of 3.
